Theme Parties

“Life Along the River” is one of the Chinese theme parties that Hyatt on the Bund is offering to incentive organisers.  It was conceived based on the famous 115-metre scroll displayed in the Shanghai Expo China Pavilion, the “Qing Ming Festival along the River.”

The entire lower lobby will be transformed into a fishing village and busy market scene.  Waiters will wear traditional Chinese costumes and peddle food, like an open market.  The main focus of the theme party will be local Chinese signature dishes such as Peking Duck, Beggar’s chicken, a dim sum station, a noodle stand and local fruit juices produced from antique wooden fruit squeezers.  A small fishing boat can be pulled from one end of the river to the other with a male opera singer pulling the boat while his lady friend sits inside the boat.

Western theme parties can be custom-made to suit every client’s imagination.
